The Development Standing Committee is the key committee responsible for leading the overall development of the Grama Panchayat, progress in productive sectors, land use, and infrastructure development.

  • Lead the preparation of annual and five-year plans for the socio-economic development of the Panchayat.
  • Supervise and promote agriculture, soil conservation, animal husbandry, dairy development, small-scale industries, and fisheries.
  • Regulate land use within the Panchayat area and formulate schemes to bring fallow land under cultivation.
  • Coordinate activities related to the cooperative sector.

  • Construction and maintenance of markets, public toilets, slaughterhouses, and other facilities under the Panchayat.
