As part of the Government of Kerala’s digitalization policy, most services of the Grama Panchayat are now being delivered through the K-SMART software implemented by the Local Self Government Department.
In order to ensure more transparent and faster public services, the following changes have been made in the process of receiving applications submitted to Edavaka Grama Panchayat.
Major Changes
1. Only Through K-SMART:
All applications submitted to the Grama Panchayat (including certificates, licenses, permits, tax-related services, complaints, and requests) will hereafter be accepted only through the K-SMART portal online. Applications can be submitted directly online or through Akshaya Centres.
2. Applications Accepted Directly (Offline):
Only letters/applications related to House Keeping and office maintenance matters will be accepted directly (manual submission).
⚠️ Right to Information (RTI):
Applications under the Right to Information (RTI) Act can continue to be submitted directly or via postal service as usual.
Important for the Public
The old method of filing applications manually by visiting the Panchayat office is being discontinued. All citizens are requested to cooperate in shifting completely to digital services.
By applying through K-SMART, you can also check the current Status of your applications online at any time.
