🌿 Panchayat Level Tree Committee
The Panchayat Level Tree Committee has been constituted to protect trees standing along public roads and public places, and to prevent accidents that may occur due to trees or branches falling, uprooting, or breaking.
The committee has been formed in accordance with the Local Self Government Department Circular No. 248/RC3/2016/LSGD dated 14.07.2017. As the removal of trees previously required approval from the District Level Tree Committee, this local-level committee was established to avoid delays and enable timely decision-making in emergency situations.

📋 Major Responsibilities
- 🌳 Inspect trees and branches in public places to identify potential safety hazards.
- ⚠️ Take necessary action regarding trees that pose a threat to the life and property of the public.
- 🏡 Direct owners of private properties to remove trees that are in a dangerous condition.
- ⚖️ Initiate legal proceedings where directions are not complied with and recover the expenses incurred from the concerned individuals.
- 📑 Ensure that valuation of trees proposed for removal is carried out through the Forest Department.
- 🌱 Coordinate tree conservation activities within the Panchayat area and promote a safe environment.
- 🛡️ Ensure both public safety and environmental protection in a balanced manner.
🎯 Objective of the Committee
The Panchayat Level Tree Committee functions with the objective of ensuring both public safety and environmental conservation. Its primary mission is to facilitate timely intervention in matters relating to hazardous trees while promoting sustainable tree protection and maintaining a safe and healthy environment within the Panchayat area.
