Citizen Rights under the Right to Service Act

  • The right to receive an official acknowledgement receipt upon submitting a service application

  • The right to obtain the detailed reason in writing if a service application is rejected
  • The right to formally submit an appeal if the service delivery is unreasonably delayed

Appellate Mechanism

First Appeal

If a designated service is not provided within the prescribed timeline, or if an application is unjustly rejected, the citizen can formally apply to the designated First Appellate Authority.

Second Appeal

If the citizen remains unsatisfied with the decision of the First Appellate Authority, a Second Appeal can be preferred before the higher Second Appellate Authority.
